BEIJING, April 27 (RIA Novosti) - The death toll following two landslides in southwest China's Yunnan province has risen to 11 people, the Sina news agency said on Monday.
The incidents occurred in two populated areas in Weixin County on Sunday. The first landslide, caused by an industrial accident, killed four passersby. The second, due to natural causes, left seven dead, two injured and 15 missing.
The Xinhua news agency cited local authorities as saying two single-story houses were destroyed.
Rescuers are continuing their search for people trapped beneath the debris.
