Russian govt. gives go-ahead for new radio production concern

NOVO-OGARYOVO, May 6 (RIA Novosti) - The Russian government has approved the creation of the Vega concern that will integrate 20 firms producing radio equipment for the aircraft industry, Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov said Wednesday.
"A government instruction on establishing a new concern, Vega, was signed yesterday," said Ivanov, who is in charge of state policy for transport and industry development.
He also said the new concern will enable it to "focus efforts on creating space control instruments."
