Police seize weapons, explosives from Kazakh national

MOSCOW, May 30 (RIA Novosti) - Police in Russia's Samara Region on the Volga have detained a Kazakh national for the illegal possession of weapons, a law enforcement spokesman said Saturday.

The spokesman said that traffic police discovered the weapons after stopping a Mitsubishi vehicle as part of a routine stop.

During a search "a pistol, cartridges and three home-made explosive devices" were seized, the spokesman said.
