Police have detained about 30 people for an attempt to hold an unauthorized opposition rally in central Moscow, police said on Sunday.

MOSCOW, May 31 (RIA Novosti) - Police have detained about 30 people for an attempt to hold an unauthorized opposition rally in central Moscow, police said on Sunday.

The detained persons tried to block Tverskaya Street in central Moscow, the police said.

There were over 10 members of the banned National Bolshevik Party, including their leader Eduard Limonov, among those detained, the police said.
