BERLIN, June 15 (RIA Novosti) - Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich has bought the world's largest privately owned yacht for 300 million euros ($420 million), the Bild newspaper said.
The 170-meter (557 feet) Eclipse with 11 guest cabins, two swimming pools and a disco hall, is equipped with a German missile-detection system, two helicopter pads and a miniature submarine capable of diving to 50 meters.
The luxury vessel, which has windows made of bulletproof glass in Abramovich's master suite, can reach speeds of 75 kilometers per hour.
Constructed by Blohm + Voss in Hamburg, the yacht is expected to be delivered to the Chelsea FC owner next year. The German newspaper said the annual maintenance costs of Eclipse could reach up to 30 million euros ($42 million).
The Russian billionaire's private fleet currently consists of three large yachts - Pelorus, Sussurro and Ecstasea.
