MOSCOW, July 14 (RIA Novosti) - A fourth person infected with A/H1N1 has been diagnosed in Russia as the global number of swine flu cases surpassed 113,000 people, Russia's chief sanitary doctor said on Tuesday.
The World Health Organization (WHO) in its updated A/H1N1 report on July 6 confirmed 94,512 officially registered cases and 429 deaths in 135 countries and territories worldwide.
"According to data from all sources, 113,507 cases have been reported across the globe, including 549 deaths," Gennady Onishchenko said.
Russia's latest swine flu case is a 19-year-old male, who arrived from Ibiza, Spain on Monday. He is currently receiving medical treatment.
The three Russians who were earlier diagnosed with swine flu have recovered.
Japanese scientists have released a report that says people who were born before the 1918 flu pandemic are immune to swine flu.
