One serviceman killed, 4 injured in shootout in Chechnya

MOSCOW, August 24 (RIA Novosti) - One Russian serviceman was killed and another four were injured during a shootout with militants in the country's North Caucasus republic of Chechnya, a police source said on Monday.
The shootout occurred near the village of Duba-Yurt at 2:00 p.m. [GMT 10:00] on Sunday.
"During the shootout, one serviceman was killed and four other personnel were hospitalized," the source said.
Russian Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev on Friday ordered a complete review of every Interior Ministry facility in the North Caucasus to assess vulnerability to terrorist attack following several months of increased violence in the region that has targeted police.
Last week at least 20 officers died in a truck bombing at the police headquarters in Nazran, Ingushetia's largest city, and bicycle suicide bombers killed four officers in two attacks in the Chechen capital of Grozny.
