MOSCOW, September 4 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's energy ministry has requested 9.6 billion rubles ($303 million) from the 2010 budget to repair a South Siberian hydropower plant hit by a deadly accident on August 17, a deputy energy minister said on Friday.
A total of 73 people were killed and two are still listed as missing following the August 17 accident at the Sayano-Shushenskaya station in Siberia's Khakasia Republic. Repair work is expected to take several years.
