ROSTOV-ON-DON, September 8 (RIA Novosti) - Two militants died in a shootout with security forces in Ingushetia's largest city, a Federal Security Service (FSB) spokesman said on Tuesday.
He said two gunmen had been killed and two civilians injured, but no casualties were reported among security forces in Nazran.
Attacks on troops, police and other officials have been reported almost daily in Ingushetia and Russia's other North Caucasus republics in recent months.
On August 17, Ingushetia was rocked by a suicide bombing which killed at least 20 people and injured 260 people.
Ingush President Yunus-Bek Yevkurov himself survived a car bomb attack on his motorcade in June and returned to work last month.
