Russian federal property official held for suspected bribe-taking

VORONEZH, September 14 (RIA Novosti) - The head of Voronezh region branch of the Russian Agency for Federal Property Management, Zafeddin Mikailov, has been arrested on a suspicion of a taking bribe, investigators said.
"In a joint operation of the Voronezh region department of the Russian investigative committee, the regional Federal Security Service and the police, Mikailov was arrested while taking a 100,000-ruble ($3,200) bribe to approve a contract for the lease of federal property," the regional investigative committee said in a statement.
A criminal case has been opened and it is to be decided whether the suspect is to stay in custody.
There has been no comment from either the detained official or his lawyer.
