NOVO-OGARYOVO, September 15 (RIA Novosti) - Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin intends to visit France in November, he said at a meeting with his French counterpart Francois Fillon on Monday.
Putin said Russia attaches great importance to cooperation with France, adding that bilateral relations are developing successfully in all spheres, with active political discussions and humanitarian ties progressing as well.
In particular, he said, 2010, the Year of Russia in France and the Year of France in Russia, will see about 130 events taking place.
Fillon suggested that Russia and the European Union deepen their economic ties.
"Economic cooperation between our countries is rich, and to make it deeper, we should have Russia and the EU reach an agreement to establish a common economic space," he told Putin.
