MOSCOW, October 19 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's agricultural watchdog said on Monday it was putting temporary limitations on the import of German and Dutch poultry and Moldovan dry milk containing prohibited and harmful substances.
The Rosselkhoznadzor restrictions, which come into effect on Friday, will concern German turkey supplies found to contain antibiotics, as well as doxycycline-containing poultry meat from two Dutch companies.
Moldovan defatted milk powder produced by the Inkomlak dairy plant will also be banned.
The Russian agricultural regulator earlier imposed limitations on Lithuanian milk imports.
Belarus' state veterinary service also temporarily banned the export to Russia of some meat and milk products over high levels of tetracycline antibiotics.
