NIZHNY NOVGOROD, November 8 (RIA Novosti) - Four people were trapped following a rock slide in a cave in the Perm Territory in the Urals, the emergencies center in the neighboring Volga area said on Sunday.
"A group of five speleologists aged 22-23 went into the cave where the rock slide occurred. One person managed to escape. He told rescuers about the accident. A speleologists' basic camp comprising 10 people is located near the cave," a spokesman for the emergencies center said.
The spokesman said the terrain was hard to access and no machinery could be used in a rescue operation.
Currently, rescue workers of the Perm Territory are heading for the scene of the accident, the spokesman said.
