Two police officers were injured in a shooting near Moscow on Saturday, a police spokesman said.

The attack happened in the Moscow Region town of Kurovskoye. The exact details have yet to be established.

The spokesman said that one of the officers was discovered in his patrol car and the other next to the vehicle. Both had gunshot wounds to the head.
The officers are in hospital in a grave condition. An investigation is underway.
