RIA Novosti Editor-in-Chief Svetlana Mironyuk will welcome participants and guests at the beginning of the forum, which was organized by the Russian state news agency she heads.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Russian premier spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the president of the International Federation of Journalists, Jim Bumela, and Russian Communication Minister Igor Shchegolev will also participate in the event's opening ceremonies.

The master of ceremonies will be Rossiya broadcasting company deputy director Sergei Brilev.
