Participants at a European and Asian media forum in Moscow have prepared a draft announcement on the results of the forum.
"We have prepared a new draft of a declaration, which is the fruit of our cooperative work," RIA Novosti CIS and Baltic countries editor Alan Kasaev said.
There are participants from 15 CIS and Baltic countries at the RIA Novosti-organized forum, and the declaration pledges not to use the media to worsen regional conflicts and disagreements.
The Fourth European and Asian media forum opened in Moscow on Wednesday, and brought together more than 150 of the world's top media managers.
During the two-day event, journalists from other CIS and Baltic states were able to meet their Russian colleagues, representatives of government institutions, well-known politicians and public figures during plenary sessions, panel discussions, round tables and sectional work in various media spheres.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev met with forum participants and confirmed Russia's plans to build diplomatic relations based on understanding with other countries and underlined Russia's interest in partnership with ex-Soviet media.
