Blast at pipeline leaves 107,000 without gas in Russia's Ingushetia

The blast took place at the Stavropol-Tbilisi pipeline.

Some 107,000 people were left without gas due to a blast which occurred at a gas pipeline in Russia's North Caucasus republic of Ingushetia, a local emergencies ministry spokesman has said.
Earlier, he said some 230,000 of the 492,000 republic's residents were affected.
The blast took place at the Stavropol-Tbilisi pipeline. Repair work is reportedly underway and is expected to be concluded by Monday morning.
"All our emergencies services are involved in the work to mend the pipeline," a gas transportation official said.
