Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev on Monday expressed his condolences over recent terrorist attacks in Russia and offered Moscow support in fighting terrorism.
The Kazakh leader was speaking during a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev.
"Nazarbayev expressed his sincere condolences over the blasts in Moscow and the North Caucasus and offered support to Russia in fighting terrorism," a Kremlin statement said.
Twin suicide bombings in the Moscow metro killed at least 40 people on Monday and two days later 12 people lost their lives in another terrorist attack in Russia's North Caucasus republic of Dagestan.
The two presidents also discussed international and regional issues, the Kremlin said.
