Two people were killed and seven others injured in a shoot-out in southern Russia on Saturday, local investigators said.
The incident occurred at around 11:00 a.m. Moscow time [08:00 GMT], when unidentified gunmen opened fire on people at an open-air market in the south Russian city of Samara, Yelena Shkayeva, local chief investigator's aide, told RIA Novosti.
A local police source said as many as 14 people had been injured.
Police and emergencies services are working at the scene of the incident.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.
