A series of earthquakes continue to strike Russia's Far East, the Russian Academy of Science's geophysical services on the Kamchatka Peninsula reported on Saturday.
Seven quakes have hit the region in the past 24 hours, with the strongest registering 6.6 magnitude and the smallest registering 3.9.
All of the quakes have been registered in the same place between 9 and 66 kilometers beneath the Pacific Ocean's floor.
There are no reports of damage to buildings or any casualties.
The Kamchatka Peninsula also has several active volcanoes and is part of the Pacific Ring of Fire, a region where 90% of the world's earthquakes and 80% of the world's largest earthquakes occur.
