Russia and the United States do not have any secret arrangements concerning the arms reduction treaty, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday.

Russia and the United States do not have any secret arrangements concerning the arms reduction treaty, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday.

Several U.S. senators involved in the treaty's ratification have applied for the content of the talks during the signing of the pact, according to Lavrov.

"No secret arrangements beyond the limits of what is written in the document and its appendixes exist," Lavrov said, commenting on possible secret deals over the Russian-U.S. new arms reduction treaty.

The treaty, signed by the Russian and U.S. presidents on April 8 in Prague, to replace the START 1 agreement that expired in December 2009 is yet to be ratified by both chambers of the Russian parliament and the U.S. Senate. The Russian and U.S. presidents earlier agreed that the ratification processes should be carried out simultaneously.
