The website of tycoon Oleg Deripaska's Russian Reporter magazine, a partner of the WikiLeaks website, was out of service for several hours on Wednesday due to a power cut.
"We have been cut off. The electricity and therefore the [web] servers were off," a member of staff told RIA Novosti.
The magazine had advance copies of hundreds of classified U.S. diplomatic cables leaked by WikiLeaks over the weekend.
In one on them, U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates is quoted as saying to his French counterpart Herve Morin that "Russian democracy has disappeared and the government is an oligarchy run by the security services."
Another said that Russian President Dmitry Medvedev "plays Robin" to Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's "Batman" and that Russia is a "virtual mafia state."
