Technical experts should meet in Vienna to discuss nuclear fuel supplies to Iran, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday.
The discussion should include the transfer of Iran's low-enriched uranium to other countries, he added.
"If this project is carried out, we will take an important step forward," Lavrov said.
The West suspects Tehran of pursuing a secret nuclear weapons program, which Iran strongly denies, insisting it needs atomic energy solely for civilian purposes. Iran is currently under four sets of UN sanctions over its refusal to suspend uranium enrichment.
