Russian security forces have killed four militants in the troubled southern republic of Dagestan, Russia’s Anti-Terror Committee said on Saturday.
The men were shot dead after security forces raided a home in the village of Gurbuki late on Friday.
One member of the security forces was killed in the gun battle and another wounded, officials said.
Russia has been battling a low-level Islamist insurgency in the region.
Earlier this month, officials said up to 300 militans were operating in Dagestan.
