Fire Breaks Out at Coal Mine in Russia’s Siberia

NOVOKUZNETSK, July 26 (RIA Novosti)
A fire broke out at the Komsomolets coal mine in Russian Siberia’s Kemerovo Region on Thursday and rescuers are evacuating miners, a spokesman for the local the Emergencies Ministry’s department said.
He said rescuers received a signal about the fire at the mine at 8:20 a.m. local time (1:20 a.m. GMT).
“There were a total of 263 miners working, when the fire erupted. All of them have been evacuated safe and sound,” the spokesman said.
