A wild bear attacked a geologists' campsite in Krasnoyarsk Territory, East Siberia, killing one man, local police said on Monday.
“The hunter attached to the camp then shot the bear dead,” police said, after describing how the animal had attacked the camp, causing panic among the campers, and damaging the geologists’ equipment and tents.
Bears in Siberia are facing reduced habitat and food sources due to this summer's forest fires.
