MOSCOW, December 30 (RIA Novosti) - The death toll in Saturday’s plane crash in south Moscow rose to five on Sunday after a stewardess died in hospital, the Red Wings air company said.

The Russian Tupolev Tu-204 medium-haul airliner overshot the runway while landing at Moscow’s Vnukovo airport on Saturday evening. The plane was arriving from the Czech Republic.

There were eight people on board the plane, all of whom were crewmembers, when it crashed. Three other people injured in the crash remain in hospital in grave conditions.

The flight recorders from the Tu-204 wreckage have been found and delivered to the Inter-State Aviation Committee for study.

The Moscow city transport prosecutor's office has launched a criminal probe into the airline's compliance with Russian aviation safety regulations.

Red Wings is a Moscow-based airline that operates 8-10 Tu-204 planes, each with capacity to carry up to 210 passengers.
