MOSCOW, January 13 (RIA Novosti) – Rescuers have evacuated some 75 people from cable cars after a tree fell on a gondola line at the 2014 Winter Olympics resort of Rosa Khutor, in Sochi.
No one was injured in the incident, rescuers said.
A total of 84 people participated in the rescue effort, which lasted for two hours. The cableway works in a normal regime, a spokesman said.
Rosa Khutor is to hold several Olympic test events in the coming weeks including stages of the FIS Alpine skiing, snowboard and freestyle skiing World Cups.
