URGENT: Soyuz-U, Progress M-54 lift off from Baikonur

MOSCOW, September 8 (RIA Novosti) - The Soyuz-U launch vehicle and the Progress M-54 spacecraft lifted off from the Baikonur launching site in Kazakhstan at 5:07 p.m. Moscow time (1:07 p.m. GMT), heading for the International Space Station, the Russian Space Agency Roscosmos reported Thursday.
