MOSCOW, August 1 (RIA Novosti) - A rare full solar eclipse will be broadcast live at http://www.en.rian.ru/ on Friday.

The total eclipse will begin in northern Canada at 13:21 Moscow time (09:21 GMT). The full eclipse of the Sun will pass over Nizhnevartovsk in western Siberia at 14.31 Moscow time (10:31 GMT), and Barnaul at 14:48 Moscow time (10:48 GMT).
Novosibirsk, Russia’s third largest city, will also find itself directly under the eclipsed Sun. The rare phenomenon will be seen there at 14:45 Moscow time (10:45 GMT). The total eclipse will last two minutes and 20 seconds will be seen through telescopes and video cameras on city roofs.
An estimated 15,000 tourists have arrived in Novosibirsk to watch the phenomenon, during which the Moon will totally hide the Sun.
The maximum extent of the eclipse in Moscow will be 58%.
Full solar eclipses were observed in Moscow on August 11, 1123; March 20, 1140; June 7, 1415, and February 25, 1476. In the Moscow Region, the Sun hid behind the Moon on August 19, 1887.
