The Soyuz TMA-19 spacecraft with a crew of three landed safely in Kazakhstan on Friday morning, the Mission Control Center said.

The Soyuz TMA-19 spacecraft with a crew of three landed safely in Kazakhstan on Friday morning, the Mission Control Center said.

Expedition 25 Commander Doug Wheelock and flight engineers Shannon Walker and Russia's Fyodor Yurchikhin landed in Kazakhstan at 10:46 a.m. local time [03:46 GMT] on Friday.

Four planes, 14 helicopters and seven vehicles were deployed in 12 possible landing zones to locate and recover the landing pod.

The spacecraft undocked from the International Space Station in the automated mode earlier on Friday. The departure was delayed by a minor technical issue.

ISS Expedition 26 officially began when the Soyuz TMA-19 undocked from the station

Expedition 26 Commander Scott Kelly and Flight Engineers Alexander Kaleri and Oleg Skripochka will stay onboard the station in anticipation of the Soyuz TMA-20's arrival next month.
