MOSCOW, April 21 (RIA Novosti) - Over a half of the Russians (55 percent) are sure that official venality in the administrative and economic spheres stands in the way of Russia's coming out of the crisis, said chairman of the State Duma anti-corruption commission Mikhail Grishankov. He was presenting results of the VCIOM sociological research at the parliamentary hearings on the state anti-corruption policy.
He said that 40 percent of the Russians see the main reason for corruption in the inefficiency of state and law.
"They see as the most corrupted the local authorities, law-enforcement agencies, followed by governmental structures and the judicial system, Grishankov said.
To him, more than a third of the polled are sure that corruption has permeated the entire society.
