MOSCOW, April 26 (RIA Novosti) - The international running race, beginning on Moscow's Red Square on April 27, will mark the two memorable dates - 60th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 40th anniversary of Moscow's Hero City honorary title.

The running race will pass via three states - Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, the Belarussian embassy in the Russian Federation said. The Moscow government initiated the race.

Its participants will be athletes from the best amateur clubs and sport veterans from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and some foreign countries.

They will traverse Belarus on April 30 to May 5, passing through Gomel, Kalinkovichi, Mikashevichi, Pinsk, Brest, Bereza, Baranovichi, Stolbtsy, Minsk and Orsha. In these cities the athletes will participate in official meetings and the laying of wreaths to the Defenders of the Motherland monuments.

The running race ends on May 8 on Moscow's Poklonnaya Gora.
