Russian wrestler Saitiev wins Olympic gold in Beijing

MOSCOW, August 20 (RIA Novosti) - Russian wrestler Buvaisa Saitiev grabbed gold on Wednesday in the men's 74 kg freestyle event in Beijing becoming three-time Olympic champion.
In the final match against Soslan Tigiev of Uzbekistan, the 33-year-old Russian, lost the first period, but confidently took the next two 0-1, 1-0, 3-1 to win Russia's 13th gold medal and fifth wrestling gold of the Beijing Olympics.
Saitiev, who is also six-time world champion, won gold at the 1996 Atlanta and 2004 Athens games.
The bronze medals went to Murad Gaidarov of Belarus and Bulgaria's Kiril Terziev.
Russia is currently ranked 4th in the overall medal standings with 13 gold, 14 silver and 18 bronze medals, while China tops the standings boasting 44 gold, 14 silver and 19 bronze medals.
