MOSCOW, November 7 (RIA Novosti) - British boxer David Haye will attempt to cause a major shock in Nuremberg on Saturday by toppling Russian WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev.
Valuev, at 143 kilos (22st 8lb) and 2.13 meters (7 foot), has a massive weight and height advantage over the 98.9 kilo and 1.8 m Haye. The 36-year-old Russian has only been beaten once in 51 bouts and has never been knocked down.
However, Haye, who has a record of 21-1, has only just moved up to the heavyweight division and this will be his third fight in the category.
Haye has showered Valuev with personal insults in the run-up to the fight, calling him a "circus freak" and promising to "embarrass" the Russian.
Valuev has refused to take the bait though, saying that "if he wanted to make me angry he has failed."
The fight begins at 21:30 GMT.
