A plane carrying players to a Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) all-stars clash in Minsk, Belarus, landed with only one engine functioning, an airport spokesman told RIA Novosti on Monday.
There were no injuries during the incident, which happened on January 30.
"Before landing, the crew informed a flight operations officer at the airport that after a vibration was detected in one of the engines it had to be turned off," the Minsk National Airport spokesman said.
The aircraft was chartered by the KHL to fly the players to an all-star game between the Jagr Team and the Yashin Team, which was held at the Belarusian capital's new "Minsk Arena."
The aircraft was given a full technical inspection, while the players were flown back to Moscow in another plane.
The game was the second all-star match in the history of the Kontinental Hockey League, and the Jagr Team, made up of foreign players, won 11:8.
