Reigning Olympic champions Sweden confidently defeated Belarus 4-2 at the 2010 Olympic Games in Canada's Vancouver.
Group C 'Tre Cronor' began the match at the Canada Hockey Place with two goals in the first period and another one in the second.
However, the team from the ex-Soviet state answered the Swedish champions with a goal in the second and another one in the third periods bringing the score to 2-3.
With less than 10 seconds of game time remaining Sweden's Daniel Alfredsson netted another for his team to leave the match score at 4-2.
After two games played in the preliminaries Sweden leads the Group C table with 6 points and is followed by their 2006 Olympics in Italy final rivals Finland, which is scheduled to play later in the day against Germany.
