Serena Williams downed Victoria Azarenka in straight sets Thursday to join Agniezska Radwanska in the Wimbledon final.

The win, a 6-3, 7-6 (6) victory, was Williams' eighth in nine matches against the Belarusian former No. 1, allowing her to reach seventh final at SW19.

Williams, 30, lost only four points on her serve to take the first set.

Azarenka put up a little more resistence in the second, with both breaking the other's serve to send it to a tiebreak. Williams saved the last three of her 24 aces for the tiebreak to take the match.

Williams will try to win her fifth Wimbledon title on Saturday, when she encounters third seed Agnieszka Radwanska, who eliminated eighth seed Angelique Kerber of Germany.

The 23-year-old Pole will claim Maria Sharapova's No. 1 ranking spot if she wins.
