The Olympic committee of St. Kitts and Nevis has sent home sprinter Tameka Williams for taking a substance that "would fall outside the accepted medical code," the Olympic News Service reported Sunday.

Williams was to be entered into the 100 meters and 200 meters events, but was sent home Saturday after the country's officials ordered its athletes to disclose the medicine they had been taking, the report said.

The report cites Dennis Knight, the committee's vice president, as saying Williams had not failed any drugs test, but decided to act after the country's anti-doping agency advised the substance "would fall outside the accepted medical code."

Williams, 22, was the country's only female athlete and took part in the opening ceremony march on Friday.
