MOSCOW, October 27 (RIA Novosti)
Russian basketball team BC Khimki suffered its second away defeat in the Euroleague with a 67-54 defeat to Italian team Cantu.
Khimki is now at the bottom of Group A with one win in three matches, while Cantu rose to the fourth after improving its record to 1-2.
Both teams showed strong defense and team play with the top scorer, Cantu’s guard Pietro Aradori, notching up only 13 points.
“You cannot think about winning at Cantu, or anywhere in the Euroleague, when you score just 50 points,” Khimki’s Croatian center Kresimir Loncar said in comments on the Euroleague website.
“They played well on defense, but we did not execute. Our offense did not work from the second quarter until the end.”
The Russians were seven points up after the first quarter thanks to a pair of three-pointers from Vitaly Fridzon.
However, a 13-0 run by Cantu at the start of the second quarter put the Italians in front, where they stayed for the rest of the match.
Khimki's next game is at home Friday against Slovenian team Olympija Ljubljana, which has also lost two games out of three.

Traditional political parties are growing increasingly inadequate and outmoded. Their time has passed.
