MOSCOW, November 11 (RIA Novosti) - Wladimir Klitschko retained his heavyweight titles with a unanimous points victory over previously unbeaten Pole Mariusz Wach.

Klitschko, 36, won by a large margin on all three scorecards in Hamburg after recovering well from a scare in the fifth round when Wach, 32, landed a big right.

The three judges scored Klitschko’s win 120-107, 120-107 and 119-109 as he retained the IBF, IBO, WBO and WBA belts.

For the Ukrainian known as Dr. Steelhammer, it was his first fight without trainer Emanuel Steward, who died last month aged 68.

Klitschko’s record improved to 59-3 with all but eight of those wins by knockout, while Wach, nicknamed The Viking, suffered his first defeat in 28 fights.
