MOSCOW, November 16 (R-Sport) – Caterham driver Vitaly Petrov is excited about the "special" track for Sunday's US Grand Prix, the Russian said Friday.

Formula One returns to the United States after a four-year break for the race that will be held at the newly built Circuit of the Americas located in Austin, Texas.

“I think all the drivers are excited about getting on track,” Petrov was quoted as saying by Caterham's website. “It's a new challenge and from what I've seen in the simulator it could be a really special track.”

The distinctive feature of the 5.5 km-long circuit is its bumpy relief, with the elevation range spanning 40 meters.

“There's a lot of elevation changes, a few blind corners where it's going to be tricky to find the apex and quite a lot of the lap is high speed.” Petrov said.

For the 28 year old Russian this will be a special race for one more reason, as he fulfills his dream to visit the United States.

“I'm really looking forward to visiting America, both for the race but also because it's my first ever trip to the USA and it's always been my dream to go to the States.”

Petrov is still looking to earn his first points this season.

Red Bull's championship leader Sebastian Vettel can clinch the title if he wins and nearest rival Fernando Alonso fails to finish higher than fifth.
