MOSCOW, November 28 (R-Sport) - Williams have dropped Bruno Senna and signed promising young Finn Valtteri Bottas for the 2013 season, the Formula One team said Wednesday.
Venezuela’s Pastor Maldonado stays with Williams after earning the team’s first win for eight years in Spain in May, while former GP3 champion Bolttas has a wealth of experience with the team after driving in Friday practice at 15 of the year’s 20 races.
“Valtteri is quite simply one of the most talented young racing drivers I have come across and we expect great things from him in the future,” team founder Frank Williams said on Twitter.
Senna largely underwhelmed during his time at Williams, finishing 16th in the championship with 31 points and a best finish of sixth, and qualified slower than Maldonado in 15 races out of 20.
“I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank Bruno Senna for his hard work over the year and wish him the best of luck going forward,” Williams said.
Bottas joins fellow Finn and 2007 world champion Kimi Raikkonen on the 2013 grid, while a question mark hangs over Caterham's Heikki Kovalainen after the team signed Charles Pic from Marussia.
Kovalainen, Russia's Vitaly Petrov, and Dutch test driver Giedo van der Garde have all been linked with the second seat.

News that Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin would resign in order to run for the mayoral election in September came as quite a shock. Sobyanin’s political potential is fairly dubious, not to mention his approval ratings. He has not finished many of the projects he initiated and the electoral effect from these projects is expected to come a bit later than September 2013. Sobyanin’s opponents were not entirely unprepared for this blitzkrieg.
