MOSCOW, December 5 (R-Sport) - Dynamo Moscow's teenage winger Ivan Solovev has only just broken into Dan Petrescu's first team, but the talented Russian has already set his sights on playing in England.

The diminutive left-footer impressed on his debut in a 2-1 cup win over FC Khimki in October, and has belied his 19 years of age with solid performances in the five matches since.

"I love English football, it's great to watch," Solovev told R-Sport in a rare interview. "It's hard to explain, it's just fantastic. I wouldn't turn down a move there."

Standing at just 5ft 3in and with a noticeable serenity in possession of the ball, Solovev has already attracted comparisons with Arsenal forward Andrei Arshavin.

Nicknamed the "sparrow" in a liberal interpretation of his surname, which translates as nightingale, Solovev would prefer to draw parallels with more illustrious individuals.

"Cristiano Ronaldo. He's fast, does great feints, and everything seems to come off for him."

Solovev has been witness to Dynamo's improbable revival under Petrescu after the club suffered their worst-ever start to a top-flight season.

"Petrescu really gets us going before the games. He's a great coach," Solovev said, adding: "I am going to do everything I can to justify his expectations."

He has helped cement the return to form - the club is yet to lose a game in which he has started.

"I've become accustomed to the side, but I still need stability in my game, I need to accumulate some experience. That should come with time."

Solovev is becoming a regular part of Dynamo's increasingly feared four-pronged attack that has hit 15 goals in their last seven games.

Hungary's Balazs Dzsudzsak has provided the support from the right and strike duo Alexander Kokorin and Kevin Kuranyi have attacked their crosses.

Dynamo's last game before the three-month winter break is away to Terek Grozny on Sunday.
