STRANGE BUT TRUE
Chinese police nab man cavorting in tutu at Olympics
MOSCOW, August 22 (RIA Novosti) - A semi-naked man was detained by police as he tried to disrupt the Olympic show jumping competition wearing a tutu and women's underwear, local media said.
China's Information Internet Center said the unnamed man, described as a portly middle-aged foreigner, ran into the equestrian arena Thursday evening and in front of amused spectators began to prance around like a horse.
It took security officers and police several attempts to catch up with the galloping male, who was reported to be dressed in only "a ballet tutu and women's underwear."
Chinese media have given no details on the nationality of the tutu-wearing man, but eyewitnesses said he seemed completely sober.
Chinese authorities are investigating the incident.
