Villagers in Britain's Westbury-sub-Mendip have turned a decommissioned red telephone booth into the smallest library in the world, Earth Times reported.
Residents of the Somerset village bought a disused booth from British Telecom for $1.65, put up shelves and set up a mini-library with books ranging from cooking to classics and fairy tales.
The library is open 24 hours a day. The library also offers DVDs and CDs.
This is not the first time an old red telephone booth has got a new lease of life. Some booths have been turned into art or design projects and some have even been made into showers or toilets.
