A Nepalese pensioner, who stands at just 54.6 cm (21.5 inches) tall was declared the world’s shortest men by Guinness World Records, Press Trust of India reported on Sunday.
Chandra Bahadur Dangi, 72, is not only the shortest living man but also the shortest person ever documented in Guinness' 57-year history.
Dangi lives in a remote Nepalese village some 400 kilometers (250 miles) west of the country’s capital, Katmandu, with his younger brother and his family. The world’s shortest man has never in his life traveled anywhere before being measured in Katmandu and never had a family of his own.
Previous record holder, Junrey Balawing of the Philippines is 60 centimeters (23.5 inches) tall.
