MOSCOW, July 27 (RIA Novosti)
A Mitsubishi Pajero driver nearly lost his vehicle when he started chasing two thieves who had stolen a bag from his car, a spokesman for the Moscow Interior Ministry Department said on Friday.
The driver reported to police on Thursday afternoon that he was chasing two thieves, who “broke the rear window of his company’s Mitsubishi Pajero car, snatched a bag and fled on a Suzuki motorbike,” a spokesman for the department’s press service said.
When the motorcycle driver lost control of his vehicle and fell, the man tried to detain the thieves, but they jumped into his car and fled.
The car was later found abandoned.
The bag contained company documents and no valuables, and the company decided not to report a property loss.
The Moscow police, however, launched a criminal case on charges of attempted robbery and vehicle misappropriation.
