On the first day of his long-awaited trial, Anders Behring Breivik admitted Monday to a bomb-and-shooting massacre that killed 77 people in Norway but pleaded not guilty to criminal charges, saying he was acting in self-defense. The father of Anders Behring Breivik, suspected of killing dozens of people in twin attacks in Norway, told Norwegian channel TV2 that he never wants to see his son again and that he should have committed suicide.
Jens Breivik, 76, who had no contact with his son since Anders was 15 years old, gave the interview at his home in Cournanel in the south of France, but asked for his identity to be concealed.
