Vancouver has a lot to offer besides the Olympics. One popular visitor attraction is a zip-line ride. The zip-line is a 170 meter cable, suspended between two towers. Attached to the cable with a harness, one can “fly” over a few blocks of the city at almost 80 kilometers per hour.
This zip-line was installed specifically for the Olympic Games. Anyone can do it and it’s free! The organizers say almost a thousand people fly every day.

The Results of XXIst Olympic Games in Vancouver
The Vancouver Games, which started on February 12, finished on Sunday, February 28. Russia occupies the sixth position, with a total of 15 medals (3 gold, 5 silver and 7 bronze).
The baton has been passed to Sochi, where the next Winter Games will take place in 2014.
